Playing games with your family has more of a purpose than just having fun.? It increases family closeness, creates memories, and helps kids develop social and problem-solving skills.?Youngsters may think a family game night is all fun and games, but there’s a lot more to it.? Research has found that families that spend time as a family unit have happier and healthier children.
As a mother of two boys, I try to incorporate some type of co-play on a daily basis.? We have several favorite games that we enjoy playing like Wii Tennis and also the classic family games like monopoly and scrabble.? For us, this is a time to connect and have a good time as a family. I used to be one of those parents who thought video games would have a negative impact on kids.? It took me some time to realize that they could be a good thing, with limitations of course, and a great way for us to build memories.
Co-playing is a great way for families to bond and can be implemented in many ways.? It may include board games, sports, video game playing or crafts.
For families with younger kids, Webkinz ? is another fun way to implement co-play.? Webkinz are a lot like Neopets, except?they are stuffed animals that come alive online in Webkinz World.
It is great for both adults and younger children to work together on the quests and quizzes.
Webkinz World is FREE to play and is just one way to have fun with your children and many children around the world. Your kids can learn about other cultures and even find pen pals with other Webkinz lovers. Parents can manage what their child sees and where they can go. There are also ways to manage how much time your child spends on the website and ability to turn off third party ads. This is all to help keep your children safe in a very unsafe environment of the online world.
For adult and teen fans of Webkinz , there is also a new game called? Webkinz Friends now available on Facebook.
Webkinz has a new line of plush called the?Webkinz Rockerz pet. And to help them celebrate the launch of the new Webkinz Friends, we have a very cute giveaway.? One winner will receive one of the NEW? Rockin’ Webkinz Rockerz Pets shown below.? Do you have a favorite?

We co-play with dance games on x-box kinect, webkinz, educational board games, basketball, knitting, crochet, etc. It is so fun watching them help each other out too. :)

I have been a “Webkinz” mom for 3 years now and it started with my son getting his first Webby, a husky. When he spent all the kinzcash that I worked so hard accumulating, I decided it was time to get my own account, lol. Now he is “too old” for Webkinz but I am not! I have introduced Webkinz to the little ones I babysit and we co-play by having parties and playing in the clubhouse and park! I would love to win that cutie cow, thanks!

I feel co-play with your kids is really important. For one, it forms a bond between your child and yourself. You also have tons of fun with your child and it helps them to interact with others and you teach them to play fair!

Co-play for us is bonding time for sure. We do a lot of crafts and games, though right now we do play Mario Kart at night. I used to wonder about video games too but have noticed that my daughter’s hand/eye coordination has really improved.

It’s important because it lets the child know you are interested in what they are thinking and liking to do. It’s also a great bonding time :)
