If you’re a parent of school aged kids, I’m sure they’ve?had their share of school projects to complete.??The process is always fun but?coming up with unique and creative ideas don’t always come?that easy.??My kids are very creative and are always creating things but they too can?use a little help at times.??Craft?Projects are supposed to be fun and we shouldn’t have to stress over coming up with ideas.??
I was recently?contacted about an opportunity to?share the poster-making products by ArtSkills?and I jumped at the chance.? I figured?this would ?be fun and a good way to learn of new ideas.??ArtSkills gets it-they?understand and recognizes the common complaints about poster making and?have been working diligently to make postersboarding……better, faster, easier.

difficult question. A poster horror story I can remember Is…
Shoot, I can’t think of one. I have always been artisticly inclined. But I suppose I have misspelled a word or something like that. Or I go through so many posterboards to get it just right.

My son had a project on endangered species in fourth grade. He wouldn’t let me proof his poster, and he had a misspelled word, the lettering was sloppy, and the pictures were totally crooked. Oh well, at least he showed his independence…

I remember a homework one that took a long time. We left it on the coffee table to dry. During the night the cats walked on it, got painted paw prints all over it and the furniture. I was not happy.

One of my poster horror stories involves my wonderful husband. Last year he wrote up some posters for our son’s football game that our daughter was cheering for. He wrote Stomp There Game – umm..their? I of course didnt notice until we were leaving the game..lol
We had lots of laughs about it but from then on I was in charge of the posters :)

My poster horror story…this is hard. :-( I can’t think of any.
The best I can come up with is that I used to procrastinate on projects, so I can remember at least two times where I made last-minute (night before the project!) trips to the store with my mom to get supplies, then stayed up late to finish the posters and project.
Thank you for the giveaway!

I am the least artistic person ever! I remember making the most sloppy, horrible looking posters and just feeling ashamed turning them in!
I tried to help my niece make a poster once but got glue all over the carpet!
I think this is a normal poster story, for me at least, I tend to get in a hurry and fail to plan ahead….I did this once and ended up with squished together lettering, ugh!
Thank you. :-)

My worst (or one of the worst) poster experiences has to be the one time I was making posters for a yardsale. Because of my horrible handwriting, the main sign came out looking like 1099 instead of 1899 for my street address. Needless to say we didn’t have that many customers that weekend :x

Poster horror story? How about when the kids used the WALL as a poster? :) Is that horrific enough for ya? lol
And I don’t mean any little crayon scribbling. I mean red, black, and blue SHARPIE alllllll over their bedroom wall. Fun stuff. Not. lol

I made my first poster with a four year nephew. He was absolutely adorable, but the mess was devestating. Horror ensued.

Once when we were having a garage sale I was in a hurry and put the wrong address on one of the signs. One of the other signs I spelled garage “garge”. I got made fun of by my husband. He’s in charge now :)
Thanks!

Well I made a few posters for a school election, for a friend for a friend. I did a great job and it took me a while to finish… I spelled her name wrong, it was embarrassing,.
Messing up on a poster that was due the next day and having to go to the store at Midnight to find they had no more posters left!
My third grader was supposed to make a poster of the solar system and of course we waited until the last minute. Well being the cool mom that I am, I decided that it would be a good idea to do the lettering with glitter glue. That went fine but then she wanted to go around the planets and I need to tuck her brother into bed so I went to tuck him in and came back to fine half my kitchen covered in glitter glue because the baby had crawled over the poster and then all over the kitchen.

My poster horror story was when my daughter informed me 30 minutes before we needed to leave for school that she needed to have a poster that day. We very quickly made one, and then I ran in to the bathroom to run a brush through my hair. When I came out, she had decided to add some “bling” to it by using glitter glue all over it. How do you carry a poster covered in wet glitter glue? By the time we got the poster to school the glitter glue was not where it started on the poster, and it was all over us, the car, and the rest of her school books!

I’m a subber !! thank you for the great prize !!
The worst for me is making posters to advertise different things for our church’s children’s events. When I have to write things free-hand, it always turns out to be a slanting disaster! I have started printing out most things on the computer, and then taping it to a posterboard and embellishing it with scrapbooking type things. The items you are giving away look very useful!!

Poster Horror story would have to be getting scolded by a former cheer mom over my poster making skills. Actually it was some passive aggressive scolding, even more horror!

I was procrastinating like always and when I put it all together the night before i realized I spelled the TITLE wrong~~

I bought some paint that did nothing but run and not dry and it was a disaster.
Last year I tried to make a yard sale sign and flubbed up by not keeping the words even. Looked like a child made it!
