When my son was just a few months old, I had someone ask me what I did besides stay at home with him. When I couldn?t think of anything, I knew it was time for a serious hobby intervention. What did I do just for my own enjoyment? Here are a few ways I found for entertainment as a stay at home mom.
Blogging.? Have something to say? Try your hand at blogging. From fashion to politics to just the everyday happenings of your family, blogs are a great way to stay up on your writing skills and find your corner of the Internet. Start small and work your way up to a paying gig.
Bingo.? I was a little skeptical when I heard about online bingo.? Isn’t that a game for 70 year old ladies at the senior center?? But online bingo is hip and fun and an inexpensive way to try something new.? A great place to start is Gala Bingo.
Digital Scrapbooking. Want a way to preserve memories without boxes and boxes of paper, stickers and glue? Digital scrapbooking, through sites like MyMemories.com, allows users to put their own spin on memory books without having to print a single picture. I made an entire baby book for my son from the comfort of my own computer.
Couponing. I was always on the lookout for a good deal, but then I got serious about couponing and made it a favorite hobby. Saving money and feeling good about it? A win-win. There are tons of coupon sites out there to get you started.
With my new hobbies, I feel energized and creative and it truly makes me a better woman and mom.
