Everyone travels with their children at some point in time and we know that you are no exception. Whether you are just traveling near your house running errands or driving an hour or two away to visit relatives, you will want to try to keep your children busy. This may seem like an impossible task, but we have come up with some ideas to keep your children happy and you from going insane on the road.
The first thing that you will want to do on your car trip is make sure that everyone has enough room in the back seat or back seats as possible. This will prevent the children from saying that someone is sleeping on them, drooling on them, touching them, you get the idea here. Plenty of room keeps everyone happy and happy children mean a pleasant car ride.
Games are always popular for car rides and they can be played by children of all ages. Most people think that scavenger hunts are only for parties or parks, but they are perfect for the car. Everyone gets their own cards and they need to find the object that is on their cards. It is pretty easy game and self-explanatory. We don?t know anyone who doesn?t like to sing songs, play games, answer questions and do puzzles while they are in the car. An activity book is the perfect way to have your child do all of those activities without having to search for something that has fallen on the floor for the entire trip.
Children of all ages love to watch movies and cartoons. Maybe it is the colors, action or the music that keeps them engaged, but if it keeps them quiet and calm, that?s all that matters. We don?t know any child that can resist Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy and Linus in the new Peanuts movie. Older children will love the mischief that Kevin gets into in Home Alone while younger child will want to sing and dance along with Dory in Finding Dory.
These are just a few of the things that you can do to keep your children occupied while you are on the road. These options should keep them busy whether you are traveling for a few minutes or a few hours. You will want to make sure that you have everything in the vehicle and ready to go before you leave, so you are not trying to reach things from the front seat of the car. This will allow you to concentrate on your driving instead of finding that item that they dropped or turning on a movie.
