Preparing for weather emergencies may not seem like such a big deal to some people, but ?I always say ?it?s better to be prepared than sorry”.?? Taking a few extra steps to ensure the safety of your home and family can make an unpredictable and difficult situation much easier to handle.

    The best way you can be prepared for an emergency is to keep bottled water, canned food, and coolers on hand. After an emergency, it will be VERY hard to get these items and the coolers will be needed to keep ice on hand for when you CAN start getting food!

    I keep a 18 gallon tote in the coat closet with a warm and cool change of clothes for each person in our family, some bottled waters, an extensive first aid kit, flashlights, batteries, and some non-perishable foods. I have another one that contains all kinds of stuff like baby pictures, a fireproof box with important papers, and our wedding album to grab if we had to leave the house fast.

    One way my family and I can be prepared is to obtain emergency supplies like duck tape, blankets, water purifying tablets, at least a 3 day supply of food and water and the items in this giveaway, etc. and keeping the items in a large garbage container with wheels and a cover in the garage so that we can easily grab it and throw it in the car and go if needed.
