Preparing for weather emergencies may not seem like such a big deal to some people, but I always say “it’s better to be prepared than sorry”. Taking a few extra steps to ensure the safety of your home and family can make an unpredictable and difficult situation much easier to handle.
Some people may panic in the event of a weather emergency and not think all that clearly. Having been involved in several weather related situations, I’ve learned that it is best to be prepared in all situations no matter how big or small and have a weather preparedness kit available.
I recently participated in a RadioShack Weather Preparedness Skype Media Tour and had the opportunity to speak with Kally Masino from RadioShack about all of the different weather prep gadgets available to help us stay safe and better prepared in a weather emergency. Heather was great and introduced to me several weather related must-haves that can help meet your needs during those times. I have compiled the list below.
