I?ve never had a green thumb?.Ever! ?But I?m learning that there are different ways someone like me can still grow healthy and beautiful plants even without the gift.
?
Now that the weather is nicer and the days a bit longer, I?ve decided it?s time to start working out in the garden.? In fact, I?ve seen more and more of my neighbors out this past week and that’s a great sign that spring is in the air, but one thing.
My neighbor drives me nuts.
?Just kiddin, but she always has the best garden.? I guess I shouldn?t be envious; it?s just that hers always look better than mine lol.? The good thing is though; I am always getting the best tips from her.? I seem to be doing the same thing she?s doing but somehow mine doesn?t end up like hers.? So we started talking about what I could do differently and I was following along just fine until she mentioned something about Aeroponic gardening. Aeroponic who?? She lost me at that point but I pretended to follow along.
Honestly, I never heard of it until that day.
Google is my friend.
So in my efforts to plant a new garden, I figured I need to look this up in case it?s something I should look into.?
According to Wikipedia:
?Aeroponics is the process of growing plants in an air or mist environment without the use of soil or an aggregate medium (known as geoponics). The word “aeroponic” is derived from the Greek meanings of “aero” (air) and “ponos” (labour). Aeroponic culture differs from both conventional hydroponics and in-vitro (plant tissue culture) growing. Unlike hydroponics, which uses water as a growing medium and essential minerals to sustain plant growth, aeroponics is conducted without a growing medium.[1] Because water is used in aeroponics to transmit nutrients, it is sometimes considered a type of hydroponics.
OK. Lost again.? I just got more confused.?
I think I get the concept and apparently it?s a very popular among many but seems like a little bit more involvement is needed. ??For some, Aeroponics may definitely work since it doesn?t require much space, and of course there?s no need for any soil. ?You will however require some special equipment to get the job done.
For the record, I am always looking ?into the possibility of doing things differently ?and learning something new is always fun, ?but in this case, I think I?ll stick with doing? it the old fashion way, even if my flowers start to wilt before they bloom.
If you?d tried Aeroponic Gardening before, I?d like to know.? Let me know how it turned out.

Never tried any gardening. I leave it up to my Dad and I travel to VT from NH (only like 30 minutes-ish) and enjoy his fresh veggies & herbs. I don’t have a green thumb AT ALL!
