In the light of the current economy and the ever changing society, I do wonder what kind of legacy I will be leaving for my children. Have I prepared them enough for the ever changing world? I can still remember how the world has changed in the past 20 years and at the rate the world is changing, I am sometimes at a loss as to how this can be done.
My husband and I believe that the best lessons we can teach them right now are those values that won?t change. Honesty, persistence at work, delivering what they promise, sensitivity to other cultures and races, these are the skills that they can take with them whether they have a summer job at the local McDonald?s or working full time at the corporate giants in Manhattan. On top of that, we want them to learn how to be financially secure for their own future.? This is something that we are trying so hard to achieve and hope that it remains with them once we are gone.
Talking about legacies, one of the most distinguished names in sweepstakes is creating their own legacy. I still remember from way back how I would see Publishers Clearing House commercials on TV growing up. When I could enter the sweepstakes myself, I didn?t miss a beat. I anticipated that they would knock on my door just to tell me that I was their big winner. I even watched the Super Bowl even if I wasn?t into football, just to wait for the announcement of their winner. They have come such a long way and now they?re even online.
This coming August, Publishers Clearing House will pick one winner for its ?Forever? prize with their ?$5,000 a Week Forever? online sweepstakes. Aside from receiving $5,000 a week, the winner of the ?Forever? prize will have the chance to choose someone to inherit that prize once they pass, and the prize will last for that person?s lifetime.
All we have to do (yes, I will join this too) is fill the online registration at the Publishers Clearing House website. I have to admit that $5,000 a week is quite a lot. I plan to set up a small business with my children as part of their hands on education, and partially invest it for their College education as well.
However, If I am so lucky to win,? apart from the inheritance, what I would really like to pass on to my children is the value that what matters most is the relationships that will be built along with this money. I really hope that I can impart to them that though this inheritance has a name attached to it, the money is really for the entire family.
As I click on the submit button on the form, it comes with the hope that we don?t just win the money. We hope to win stronger bonds, better values, and new endeavors that come with such opportunity.

Wouldn’t that be nice! I don’t think our lives would change a whole lot if we won. We might eventually buy a bigger house, and I know we’d go on some more vacations, but I’m sure I’d still blog (I can’t imagine not doing it). I think I’d put a lot away for Nick and any other kids we might have.

I would like to open up my own Southern resturaunt and give the best cutomer service and have a live band every night that plays Jazz music so that my customers could sit back and relax and enjoy it with friends and family. This would mean everything to me if I could get this drema of mine to come to pass. I have had a love and passion for food ever since I was a little girl and i can remeber helping my mother in the garden and we picked green beans, tomatoes, and greens. My mother was a strong influence in my life and hopefully if I am chosen to win the money I want to write a cookbook and dedicate to my mother.
