I thought it would be fun for my son to have his own hand soap bottle – decorated with his favorite train!
I bought a bottle of hand soap with a large flat surface front and back. I removed the label and then removed the sticky residue.?I found some Thomas the Train stickers that would be perfect for decorating the bottle – especially as they included some track.??
I added the stickers, but then wondered whether they would stay on after being exposed to water splashes.?I decided to try a decoupage option using?Outdoor Mod Podge.?I coated the bottle in several layers of the glue.
However it remained slightly tacky, even after a few days of drying, so I sprayed on some?clear acrylic sealer.
I placed it in the bathroom and F’s eyes lit up when he saw it!
This would be a great craft for older children to make themselves. They could choose any color or theme, and the bottles would make great gifts, too!

That is such a neat idea! It costs a fortune to buy matching themed bathroom accessories.

Thanks Rosie – the Thomas branding goes a long way! We may not like it sometimes but it REALLY helps other times!
