I saw the commercial and thought it was interesting and really wanted to see it. I just could not imagine having to do something like that.
Mary Happymommy says
Eve, I couldn’t imagine having to do it either.
Jamie Brigham says
I agree with you, I am so thankful for women that do but when I look at my kids I know I definitely couldn’t do it.
Michelle H. says
I think the show will be very interesting. I think giving up a child for adoption would be so difficult yet so selfless. I really want to see both sides of the story. I’m curious to see whether the endings are going to be happy or bittersweet.
Cindy B says
Difficult and selfless ~ that’s exactly the way I think about it, too.
Janet W. says
I totally agree, Michelle. I think it will show a happy ending, but also a heart breaking story. I think in the end though in some cases the child will be better off to live a happy life.
Jamie Brigham says
I am hopeful the endings are a bit of both but I hope when I hear about their stories later on I hope they are happier and in a good place in their life no matter which road they take :)
Rebecca Shockley says
I watched the first episode on On Demand and I cried the entire show, so many decisions to make in such a short time and the when the time comes to hand over your baby, I would probably lose it, no joke.
Cindy B says
I’m interested to see what angle they take with the show. I’ve recently known two families, personally, doing international adoptions and I wonder if that subject will be covered at all… that’s very different than the tone of the title.
Jamie Brigham says
I am so sorry Wanda that you were not able to have children.
Shawna says
Sounds like a good show in terms of showing the perspective of what mothers go through when adopting their children to another family. I’m planning on watching this. I have a good friend who is adopted and she is very happy being a part of her adopted family. People always make comments about how much she looks like her dad! I think adoption is the right thing to do if a woman decides that she and her family are unable to care for her child. There are many families who are not able to have children of their own and can give a loving, stable and healthy environment to an adoptive child.
Wanda McHenry says
I think it would be a good show, because like myself I was unable to have children and it’s a heartbreaking experience. The women who have the courage to allow their child to be given up for adoption should be praised because they too have a life long decision to make.
Janet W. says
I personally haven’t been affected by adoption, nor have any of my close family members, but this show sounds very interesting. I think it will help me gain some insight into the thoughts of the biological mother and adopting mother to see what each side goes through.
Mary Happymommy says
I couldn’t imagine having to do it either.
Mary Happymommy says
I think the show’s topic is compelling. I just wonder about the privacy of the children involved.
Jennifer Marie says
you do have to think about those involved and that they are real people…
debbie jackson says
I think the show is compelling. My cousin was adopted and a welcome addition to the family
Jessica To says
I really want to watch this show, but I think some people are going to have issues with the topic. I like to see happy endings though.
Ruth Hill says
I could never give up my child for adoption. I know there are circumstances that warrant it, but I can’t imagine giving birth and then giving up my child.
Ruth Hill says
I hadn’t considered that–good point.
Amanda Sakovitz says
I’m looking forward to watching this show. Two of my cousins are adopted and I would definitely adopt a baby if I couldn’t get pregnant myself.
samantha C. says
I think it is fantastic and am looking forward to watching this show.
Leann Lindeman says
I watched a clip on their website… looks like a good show. Real life situations that require a lot of important decisions.

im really looking forward to watching this!!
Elena says
I can’t wait to see this show. I have some family members who adopted two babies.

I would never give up my own baby, but would consider to adopt one.
Jessie C. says
I personally don’t have adoption experience yet but I’m all for it. It’s a selfless act to help needed children. .
Christy says
My friend is in the process of adopting two children (siblings) all by herself. She can give these kids a loving home and a better life than what they would have. I think she’s wonderful for doing this.
Sonya Morris says
I think it will be a wonderful show and will let people know they have more options than abortion and what a gift life is!
amy pugmire says
I think its great for people and especially younger girls to know their is a better option. and there are wonderful people out there who will take care of their child
Andrea Kruse says
I am amazed and awestruck for women who can be surrogates or decide to give up their baby. Such a selfless gift, but one I don’t know if I would be strong enough to do. Such an amazing gift though for people wanting/hoping/dreaming of a family.
joanne major says
i cannot wait to see the show. i had a baby when i was too young and i put her up for adoption because the couple could do a better job then i could of at that time
Ellen B says
A girl I worked with adopted 2 children because she couldn’t have any children. She is very happy now.

This show sounds very deep. I’m sure the ladies will be judged a lot for their decisions but I think they are brave to go on the show.
Stefanie Gladden says
I think adoption is amazing. I myself can not have kids so adoption is definitely something I’m going to consider when I get married! I’m excited about this show!
Ashley Hatten says
I am looking forward to the show-I think its not a subject that is talked about often. It will give people a new insight of what birth mothers really go through.

9 years ago a pregnant girl let us adopt her baby. Whatever her reasons, whomever wanted to judge her for having had 5 other kids that she never was able to live with, she will always be an angel for us. Forever.
And I found her on FB and would be honored to take my son to visit her on his 18th birthday ( he has asked).
And I thank God!
Carly says
In my opinion, this show seems very exploitative to all parties involved.
Jamie Brigham says
I am so excited to see this show, I could not give a child up for adoption, but I am so thankful for people who do. I’ve met amazing adults who were adopted and they are so thankful for what their parents did. I definitely think that is one of the hardest decisions that a woman has to make.
Jamie Brigham says
I doubt they will cover anything outside of the U.S but I too would be very interested to see and learn about international adoption.
Eve says
Wow that would be interesting. But this show is about people giving their child up for adoption
christine jessamine says
a good friend of mine has turner syndrome, she also did not have alot of money. when she got married she started to talk openly about the sadness of not having the ability to have a child. a co worker came up to her and asked her to adopt his girlfriends baby once he was born. she jumped at the chance, when all the paperwork came through and the son was born he quickly became part of her new family, with very little money involved and no waiting, he looks just like her too. it was a miracle!
Kristen says
I will be very interested to watch this show. I hope it is honest but not exploitative.
Laura Jacobson says
Me too! I just hope they are not way over the top people.
Lisa Brown says
I have never know anyone adopted, but I do think it is a very difficult decision to make. The show sounds really interesting, but heartbreaking.
Dee says
Growing up I couldn’t understand how someone could give up their baby. As an adult who’d give anything to be able to have my own child I know see that the women who make the decision to give their baby up for adoption whether it’s because they don’t want a baby, can’t give the baby everything it needs, are too young for the responsibility I’m seeing that this is must be a very difficult decision but I’m so glad that option is there and they care enough about their child to make sure they have a happy, healthy home.
Laura Jacobson says
I am going to give this show a try. Adoption is very close to my heart, and I hope they will show both sides of the story and use normal people and not people that are way over the top.
Julie says
My sister, who is unable to have children, has adopted 2 special needs children
Tiffany Winner says
its hard for me to see why someone would choose abortion instead of adoption when it brings so much joy to the couple who couldn’t otherwise have children
chris z says
i think adoption is great
Rebecca Shockley says
I love the show as I have watched the first episode on ON Demand, very, very emotional. To birth mother Mary, I’m so happy for you!
Rochelle says
I think this will be a great show. I think adoption in the past was handled differently and was more negative but adoptions today are more positive. There are open adoptions and the mother can pick the parents. It is a great idea for a young mom who isn’t ready for the responsibility.
Wendy says
I’ve seen some of the previews (today even!) and the shows looks good, albeit a mixture of sad and happy. My sister and her husband are plagued with infertility problems, they would love to adopt.
Tina M says
I will be watching this show. my sister adopted a baby 2 years ago
Katie Rose says
My nephew and my cousin are both adopted into the family and I know that each of their parents were so grateful for the chance to raise the children of their hearts. My sister in law has natural children of her own as well but I couldn’t imagine or family without her adopted son Lincoln–who happens to be nearly the same age as my son and the two are best friends.
Dana says
i saw this show and it was heartbreaking-good for the moms who make the decision who give their baby for adoption.
Lynn R says
I think people who want to adopt are great. thanks for the contest.
Lisa @ Oh Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy says
I look forward to watching this show.
Giveaway Gal says
I think this show will be a real eye opener for those that judge women who give their children up for adoption. I will definitely watch this show if I have time.
Lynn says
It sounds like an interesting show that will offer an important but not-often seen perspective on the adoption process.
Anne Lehnick says
I feel the hurt of the birth mother when they give up their babies. I’ve never had to do it, but I simply can’t imagine giving either of my babies away to someone else. I started watching MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” while I was home on maternity leave with my first child and one of the teens gave her baby up for adoption against her parents’s wishes. It was so hard to watch and I was still so emotional about having my own baby. I’ve continued to watch their story on “Teen Mom” and I’ve watched several other adoption documentaries because they are usually extremely touching storied. I don’t expect anything less from this series and plan to watch.
