This past weekend was the perfect time to get out and enjoy this springtime weather.? The weather was just great! The sun was shining bright and there was a nice breeze to accompany it. I don’t think it could have been a more perfect day and since my husband decided he wanted to pull out the grill, I figured it would be a great time for me to play around…I mean do some planting.
Anyway.
I may have mentioned before that I don’t really have a green thumb. I try, but somehow, somewhere something seems to go wrong. But being that I like the idea of gardening and growing things, I’m determined to get this planting thing right. Along the way, I’ve learned that not only do you have to choose the right plants for the right amount of sunlight, the soil has to be just right also. All I want is a nice looking garden with big beautiful plants to show for. Is that too much to ask for?
I was recently sent a bag of the newest Miracle-Gro – Expand ?n Gro?Concentrated Planting Mix to try out. I hope it will help me get the results I want.
Miracle-Gro Expand ?n Gro? is made to expand up to three times when mixed with water, and it feeds plants and flowers for up to 6 months. It contains the unique Miracle-Gro plant food formula, along with coconut coir fiber so that it holds 50% more water than typical potting soils. It?s perfect for improving sandy or clay soils and can improve native soils for years after it is first added.
Here are some of the benefits.
-Up to 3X the Flowers and Vegetables!* *versus native soil
-Significantly improves soil for multiple years
-Concentrated planting mix expands up to 3X when water is added
-Feeds for up to 6 months
-All natural fibers hold u p to 50% more water than basic potting soil
It also expands up to 3 times when mixed with water AND it feeds plants for up to 6 months. I can’t wait to see my plant grow and blossom before my eyes!
My Thoughts
The verdict of how Miracle-Gro Expand ?n Gro? will actually benefit the health and appearance of my plants are still out,? but I’m really excited to see the transformation as time goes on. What I can say is that the concentrated mix really does expand to about 3 times the size when you add water. The bag is lightweight, really lightweight and the soil is actually pretty. Now let’s just hope my plants are just as pretty.
Where To Buy
Expand ?n Gro is available at lawn and garden retailers in the Midwest, Northeast and Texas. Please visit the Expand ?n Gro? website for in-store availability information for your area. Also available at Amazon.com.

I swear I have the blackest thumb on the planet. I want to plant some flowers in my front yard, but I doubt they’ll make it to Summer! I’d still like to win so I can try :)

I’d love to try the Miracle grow. I am giving gardening a try for the first time, I have started with herbs, and already I “messed up” since I started with seedlings and left them
Outdoors and they just never grew… Now I’m starting with a new batch indoors which have already begun to sprout (it’s exciting to see). I have also planted some blazing stars but I’m going to have to wait and see how that goes. Thanks for this info, will look into this potting soil.
