I’ve been thinking for a long time that I could use those mesh bags that fruit comes in for some sort of craft. Finally I hit on the idea of using them for painting.
I saved three mesh bags and cut the larger one in half.?
I folded up a few pieces of kitchen paper and wrapped the mesh bag around it, forming a flat painting area. I secured the mesh with tape, which also provided a handle.?
I got ?some big paper and set out the paint and mesh dabbers. My son (2.5yrs) was more gentle with the mesh dabbers than I thought he would be; I was really impressed at the different effects he got.
Unfortunately the mesh dabbers don’t lend themselves to washing and re-using, but as they had been upcycled in the first place I didn’t mind.

I like that it looks super easy for him to hold, this would be easy for younger kids and still fun for older kids. Also…love the pirate outfit, matey! Cute!
