This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Having a small family means that we are constantly forking out money for different prescriptions. We have insurance through my husband’s work but it only covers a certain percentage of prescriptions. I have been following the Walgreens?and Express Script issue and I just wanted to fill you all in on it too.
In a nutshell?Walgreens and Express Script have worked together and that’s about to change. Walgreens has been working with Express Scripts to try and secure a deal. Unfortunately, if you have a certain prescription filled by Express Scripts, then you are probably being affected majorly. Some people are having to travel further to get their prescriptions and it’s becoming a real pain.
Walgreens value their customers and want to do everything they can to support you. That is why they are offering a special discount on annual membership for its?Walgreens Prescription Savings Club. For $10 a year, a family membership covers everyone in your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and pets. Individuals may join for $5. Join and receive discount prices on your prescriptions.
Other benefits include:
- Savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications
- Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies
- Bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services
I personally support?Walgreens all the way in their efforts to please customers. It’s not always easy to try and please the crowd but at least they are trying. Hopefully Walgreens and Express Scripts will come to a conclusion and all of this will be resolved. In the mean time…

It might be worth it depending on the medications people use!
