Some newer model cars won’t have this option as they’re mostly smart cars with a digital screen. Just be certain you do a clean sweep of your car to remove any and all valuables prior to vacating your property to go on vacation.
If your car is going to be sitting there for a long period of time, be sure that you get an oil change and perform other car maintenance before you go away on vacation. This will ensure that your vehicle is all in tip-top shape and that nothing will start leaking as you leave it for a long term vacation away from home.
Cover Your Car Up
If you have a garage at the house then it’s easy to cover your car up, as you can just park it in the garage during the time you’re away on vacation. Some people may not have access to park their car in the garage during the times that they’re away on vacation though. This is when you can use a car cover or other outdoor options to place a cover over your car while you’re away on vacation.
Lock It Up
Be sure that you have the car completely locked down while you’re away on vacation. Go through the car and lock each and every door as well as put the windows up so that there’s no chance a criminal can get into your locked vehicle while you’re away on vacation. If you have a car alarm, be sure to activate it before you leave.
