Now that it's college football season once again, I know how ecstatic my husband gets to plop down in front of the TV and cheer to his heart's content. It was one of those days when I first decided to surprise him with a mouth-watering, jaw-dropping popcorn masterpiece: Game Day Pep-Corn with REESE’S® Minis.
My husband loves his football and his snacks. So for something that took only 8 minutesto prepare and about 30 minutes to make, I was instantly catapulted to coolest wife in the world status.
So, wanna treat your man to this surprise too? Make him even happier on game day by sharing a tub of this sinfully delicious Game Day Pep-corn with Reese's® Minis. Trust me, it's super easy. You can visit DOLLAR GENERALto load up on your game day snacks supplies.
For this recipe, you only need three simple, super affordable ingredients:
8 cups Clover Valley® popped popcorn
3/4 cup Clover Valley® Party peanuts, divided
1-1/3 cups (8-oz. pkg.) REESE'S® Minis, divided
Here's how to:
- First, arrange the popcorn and half cup of the peanuts in a tray.
- Cut into halves 1 cup REESE'S® Minis. Place them in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at medium for 1 minute. Stir vigorously. If necessary, microwave at medium for another 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until it is thoroughly melted and blended.
- Drizzle the melted REESE'S® Minis on top of the popcorn and peanuts.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until the coating has become firm.
- Transfer to individual containers and top with the remaining 1/3 cup of REESE'S® Minis.
This recipe will make about 8 and 1/3 cups of popcorn, and it is best eaten immediately.
Enjoy!!!
By the way, REESE’S® brand is the Official Candy Partner of NCAA Football and they have all kinds of awesome (AND FREE!) downloadable stuff which you can get by checking out this site – scorewithreeses.com. You can get other game day recipes too!
