Hey ladies, want to serve something really special to your gal pals the next time you get together? After coming across these really yummy recipes, I just had to share with you.
Imagine a delicious drink that you can hardly put down, but that actually feeds you all the good stuff too? Calcium, Vitamin D and a great taste! With Silk soy, almond and coconut milks you can choose the healthy option while still enjoying a great drink. These can surely brighten up your girly night, or family BBQ and will have everyone talking for the right reasons.
Take the Mango Lass i for example. Recently I had the girls over for dinner at my house – everyone made a dish that they had never made before. It?s our way of spicing up meals, have a bit of fun along the way and learn something new. There is a row of takeout restaurants just down the street so even if our exciting new dishes were a disaster, we had back up! But I am pleased to say all the dishes were a hit. And, because we are all on a bit of a health kick at the moment I wanted to try some new drinks too. Yes we all enjoy plenty of wine, but we also want to choose healthy options and fit more into our weekends rather than just drinking. So I made the Mango Lassi as I realized that it wouldn?t just be my taste buds getting a treat; with just 7 ingredients you can make up a nice big batch to share and your purse is happy too! Simply mix Silk soymilk with mango, lemon juice, honey, and ice, and throw in a pinch of mint leaves for garnish.
MANGO LASSI
1/2 cup diced ripe mango (about 1/2 mango)
Pinch of salt
1/4 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 Tbsp honey
1/2 cup ice cubes
Mint leaves for garnish
In a blender, combine all ingredients until thick and creamy, about 2 minutes. Serve in a tall glass garnished with mint.
And, because everyone likes a chocolate hit, I also made up the Nutty Chocolate Kiss which was absolutely delicious, and between the banana and the chocolate… we felt pretty good too!
Not only are these recipes simple to make, but they can be prepared with or without alcohol for those girlfriends who prefer not to indulge in alcohol. You can find more recipes just like these on the Silkology facebook page. Head over and experiment some goodness!
