You may recall that I recently reviewed the Little Pim Spanish Volume 1 Set back in September.? My kids still love this set, so when I received the opportunity to review Little Pim products again, courtesy of Cocktails with Mom and http://littlepim.com, I immediately requested the Little Pim Spanish Gift Set with Volume II.
The Spanish for Kids Little Pim Vol II Gift Set includes the following Spanish DVDs: in my home (Disc 4), happy, sad and silly (Disc 5) and I can count (Disc 6).? It also includes an 8 inch plush toy of Little Pim, who is the star of the show.? The DVD?s and Little Pim toy are neatly tucked into a see-through Little Pim tote bag.
In Volume II of the Spanish series, Little Pim, Lola the Elephant, and Bob the Bobcat turn everyday activities into fun adventures.? As with the DVD?s in Volume I, these can be viewed in any order, or you can introduce them after Volume I.? Just as with the Volume I DVD?s, these DVD?s are brightly colored and combine animation with video.? Each video introduces more than 60 words in Spanish and end with a review of the words learned.
Because Little Pim is a language immersion series, the only language spoken on the DVDs is Spanish.? I would think the absence of their native tongue would bother my kids, I am repeatedly surprised when it doesn?t.? My son asks to watch Little Pim by name, and my daughter asks to watch ?Panda.?? Between Little Pim and our parallel language learning set, my two toddlers are now able to speak Spanish.
My three year old is able to count to ten, say the days of the week, identify red/blue/green, and say about twenty other words in Spanish.? His Spanish vocabulary is growing far faster than I thought it would.? My favorite part of the Volume II DVD?s is the DVD 5, which deals with emotions.? I?ve been working with my son on trying to identify his emotions and verbalize them, rather than lashing out at his sister when he is frustrated.
Watch this clip to see Little Pim in action?
My 22 month old daughter only says ?agua? (water), ?adios? (bye) and ?mono? (monkey), but she only speaks in English when she jolly well pleases.
The plush Pim became my daughter?s right away, as she tends to claim any stuffed bears in the house.? And the tote bag is a nice purse for her.
You can download the transcripts for the Little Pim DVD?s on the Little Pim site, and print coloring pages, which make a fun activity.

I would love the Spanish set for my baby girl because so many people speak Spanish and if you learn Spanish early you can easily learn Italian and French later on.
I learned that The Deluxe Gift Set includes three Spanish DVDs for young children, an 8″ velvety soft plush toy of Little Pim, the star of the series, the music CD Little Pim Spanish Bop, Little Pim Spanish Word and Phrase Cards – all in a fun, see-through Little Pim tote bag. The DVD 3-pak includes the following Spanish DVDs: eating and drinking (Disc 1), wake up smiling (Disc 2) and playtime (Disc 3). Kids will love carrying their favorite Little Pim items wherever they go.
