We really love puzzles in our house at the moment, so I thought I would make a couple of these craft stick puzzles to send to my son’s cousins.
Materials used:
- Photos (I used 4×6″)
- Craft sticks?(I used extra wide sticks from the dollar store)
- Glue
- Craft knife and suitable cutting surface
Turn the photo face down on a table and spread a thin layer of glue all over the back of the photo. Line up the craft sticks in a row on top, leaving a small gap between each stick.
Once the glue has dried, carefully cut the photo into strips with a craft knife – following the gaps between the sticks.
Although I made this on behalf of my son, older children could definitely help with the gluing and positioning of the sticks. And of course, it is worth getting the puzzles tested before sending them out as gifts!

This is really cute. Have you considered using Mod Podge or something similar to protect the photo surface?

Thanks Connie – Mod Podge would be a great addition to this craft – you could even use the sparkly version!

Such a great idea to send to family and friends! I’m hopeless at crafts and generally don’t know where to start so this is a great idea for me :)
