Earlier this week, I posted about “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” and that I wanted to do something to help bring about awareness. In my efforts, I’ve decided to share with you information or resources I come across that may be beneficial.
Today I want to share with you about a company called Bright Pink.? Bright Pink is a national non-profit organization that provides education and support to young women who are at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. Not only do they educate and offer great support, they also do their part everyday to keep us informed and to remind us about the important things, like remembering to perform a self check every month.
Bright Pink provides a great service called Underwire Alerts. These alerts will send you a text message every month to remind you to check your breast health and speak up about awareness! To sign up simply text PINK to 59227 or by visiting BeBrightPink.org. Once you have signed up be sure to encourage 10 of your friends to do the same.
If you prefer email, they also offer a very unique and customized Breast Self Exam Reminder.
Here’s? what you’d get :
A simple “how-to” guide to teach you the simple 6 steps to performing a
Breast Self Exam.
A “what’s normal, what’s not” to reference as you do your exams.
A customized E-Reminder ensure you never miss your exam!
I hope you find this helpful and remember to help spread the word!!

They're having a Real Men Wear Pink at our local hospital for the men who support the women in their lives to get exams for early detection and for those who have had breast cancer. They're also promoting that Breast Cancer isn't just a women's disease but men can get it also.
