Have you ever had one of those days where you didn’t feel very pretty or you felt that there just wasn’t enough time in the day to pamper yourself?? If you answered yes to either one of those questions, you are definitely not alone – which is why I’m delighted to share with you today’s guest post from Kimberly who is here to share some quick and simple tips on how to feel pretty.? So please help me welcome Kim… while I’m heading off to feel pretty!
Let’s face it, we moms don’t always have time to spend making ourselves look amazing and put together. Half the time we are lucky to get out of our pajamas and when we do, having kids often means wearing food, spit and all sorts of different stain inducing things on our clothing. We feel frumpy. We feel messy. We feel unpretty. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple things you can do each day to help improve your mood (that don’t involve Smirnoff), improve your attitude and help you have the confidence to realize that you ARE pretty, you just need a reminder.
Take a shower.
?Even if you have to get up 20 minutes early, taking a shower before having to deal with what the day bring will make a world of difference in your attitude and how pretty you feel.
Paint your nails.
?A little bit of color helps you feel more feminine and isn’t something you have to do every day. A few minutes once a week and you can pretty up your digits!
Spend 15 minutes in the sun.
?The vitamin D and warm rays will nourish your body, add some color to skin and improve your mood.
Smile.
When you smile, people will smile back. Nothing it prettier than a confident smile! And this takes NO TIME at all.
Wear jewelry.
I have this inexpensive little blue necklace that when I wear it, everyone compliments it. When someone notices something about you, even something like your jewelry, you can’t help but feel pretty!
It’s so easy to get caught up in taking care of everyone else that we forget about ourselves. We forget that we are pretty, and sometimes just a little bit of pampering and a lot of positive attitude can go a long way.
Is there something that you do that makes you feel pretty?
