I have a hearing impairment and am glad that new technologies have grown with the times. It used to be so difficult to contact people when one couldn’t use voice phones; and/or the telecommunication devices {TTY and TTP} were too expensive to afford. I’d be “tickled to death” to be able to talk over the internet versus just typing words back and forth. One can’t express emotions or physical responses on a key pad. It’s always nice to hear laughter, a sigh, so on and so forth.
