Spiked Mexican Hot Chocolate & Gift Giving #KahluaHoliday

With the gift-giving holiday season quickly approaching, it’s a good idea to compile your list early and start buying gifts now so you’re not overwhelmed with things to buy right before the holidays. Kahlúa liqueur is always a great gift to give and can be incorporated into many different types of gift baskets for an ultra customized present.

Here are a few different gift basket ideas.

For your best friend

What to include: Kahlúa liqueur, nail polish, facial masks, her favorite DVD

Why she’ll love it: Set a date for your girl’s night and stick to it! Make sure to order a pizza and bring the ice cream when you get together and enjoy having a girlie Saturday night at her place.

For your boss

What to include: Kahlúa liqueur, an industry-specific book, quirky cufflinks/scarf, treats to stock their snack drawer

Why he/she will love it: While many companies have a no alcohol policy, your boss can still enjoy delicious Kahlúa cocktails at home. Read the book before you gift it so you can discuss the latest industry news together. Giving them their favorite candy or salty snacks will show that you pay attention to detail and could mean the difference between you or a coworker getting the promotion next year.

For your parents

What to include: Kahlúa liqueur, recent picture of the kids, pretty serving bowl or tray, cookbook

Why they’ll love it: If your parents are big entertainers they’ll love this gift basket to help out with their next party. Chances they’ll put the new picture on display right next to the crudités and will be bragging about their grandkids all night!

For the recent grad

What to include: Kahlúa liqueur, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, vanilla extract, chocolate chips

Why they’ll love it: Chances are a recent grad is just starting out on their own and doesn’t have all the essentials so stocking up their spice collection will really help and encourage them to cook food in something else besides the microwave. Include the recipe below for some delicious hot chocolate and they’ll love you forever.
