Travel Smart: July is National Vacation Month #VRMonth

Did you know that July is National Vacation Rental Month? Can we not have all months as national vacation month? I love vacations because it gives me a break from everything I do around the house and at work. It also gives me something different to do with my husband and with my kids.

We have done quite a bit of traveling but never gave much thought about staying in a vacation rental until I had kids. When you are travel with family or a small group vacation rentals just seem more practical. With a vacation rental you get more space and many of the conveniences of home that will make vacation planning much simpler.

It’s like a Home away from Home

My kids are really picky eaters and sometimes, I find the availability of good food in certain places can be challenging. And one can definitely get tired of hotel or restaurant food after a while. Since a vacation rental comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, our family has more flexibility. I don’t need to whip up complicated dishes but the fact that I can prepare meals that are fresh and that I am guaranteed they will be able to eat well definitely give me less headaches during the vacation.

 They Offer Convenience

Dirty clothes are another thing I don’t want to worry about after a vacation. Lugging a pile of dirty clothes back home after an enjoyable vacation is not something that is on my agenda. Mama most likely will need a vacation from her vacation and break from my normal house routine when I get home, so even if it requires doing a couple of loads while on vacation it nice to know we will have clean clothes upon our return home.

Gives you the Space You Need

With the kids growing up fast, we need more space too. Hotel rooms seem much to small for out family now and getting another room is just not within our budget. The multiple rooms offered by vacation rentals are now an essential with kids in tow.

So, how can we ensure that we’re getting a good place? For peace of mind, book with a professionally managed vacation rental provider such as Wyndham Vacation Rentals® that has a “Vacation Rental Bill of Rights®” service pledge ensuring quality standards (vetted rentals with accurate images), comprehensive customer service and real-time payment and bookings.

Are you looking for private homes, resort condos, or villas? The U.S., Wyndham Vacation Rentals’ properties range from beach destinations such as Florida, South Carolina, Delaware and Alabama’s Gulf Coast to mountain-side condos and luxury cabins in Colorado, Utah, Tennessee and Idaho. A bevy of choices for families, now I believe our problem will be where should we go next?

We’ve always eyed South Carolina but now we’re spoiled for choice. Should we go to the historical city of Charleston?

Or is it time to hit the island at Hilton Head?

I’m grabbing their summer deals offer of up to 35 percent off nightly rates on bookings made throughout July at Wyndham Vacation Rentals. I will definitely indulge in the convenience of space and comfort of home and the pampering and luxury of a hotel stay complete with housekeeping, Wi-Fi, shuttle services, and a concierge desk.
