When planning for a wedding brides want everything to be perfect.  Everything all the way down to wedding favors!   Wedding favors should be memorable items, tokens of appreciation for the people who come to share this special day with you for years after you have your marriage.   I know when I was getting married, wedding favors were a big topic of conversation.

There are many types of wedding favors you can choose from and the majority of favors can be bought from online stores.  Some of the more popular ones include votive or tea light size candles, disposable cameras, miniature liquors, and edible treats such as cookies, sachets of tea or coffee and personalized chocolate bars.

Camera Favors –

Disposable camera favors are fun!  These can be personalized with the name of the happy couple and their wedding date. They are also available in a variety of colors and patterns which can match the color scheme of your wedding.

Candy Favors –

How can you go wrong with candy? One of the more popular trends in wedding and shower favor ideas is candy. Personalized candy wrappers with your names and wedding date offer a sweet alternative to traditional wedding favors.

We were on a tight budget for our wedding, and we wanted something that was “us”. We bought several packs of little stand-up bags from the dollar tree, added some ribbon and hand stamped thank-you tags, and filled them with our favorite childhood goodies. We lucked out and found most of what we wanted at another dollar store. We had the candy buttons, lemonheads, pixi stix, mini sugar daddies, swedish fish, and the little wax bottles with juice in them. They were a huge success :)

  2. When you are planning your reception, make sure to budget in some money for your guests. They have taken the time out of their busy schedule and given up ask entire day, sometimes a weekend, to celebrate your union as a couple. They bring you gifts, too, so they are actually spending a lot of money and time on you. The return that they should get is great food, drinks and a small token of your appreciation. Please, brides, DIY and budgets are great, but remember the guests and give them something in return.

We had candy for favors and cameras on the table for people to use for us. They didn’t turn out great, but they were fun to look at.
