Now that Spring is here, pet owners everywhere are heading out with their pets to enjoy this awesome spring weather we are having. “After a long winter, dogs often end up with dry skin, tangled fur and a heavy undercoat that can shed uncontrollably when the weather heats up”, so why not treat them to a special grooming session.
PetSmart just launched a fun photo contest on Facebook called “Just Doggin’ Around,” and they would like to see your pets in action. Whether it’s rolling in the mud, romping in the yard or kickin up sand on the beach Petsmart encourages all you pet parents to post photos of your dogs in a “doggin’ around” moment for the chance to win more than $4000 in prizes.
To enter, pet parents should visit Petsmart on Facebook and upload photos of their dogs enjoying Spring and maybe getting a little “dirty” in the process. The contest launched on March 28 and entries will be accepted through April 24, 2011. The grand prize winner, voted on by Facebook fans, will be announced on May 10, 2011.

The grand prize includes a “Top Dog” treatment package for the winning pet with free grooming for a year, the ultimate Martha Stewart Pets Spring Apparel Collection and more. Meanwhile, the pet parent will win a Spring rejuvenation weekend in Miami’s South Beach complete with airfare, luxury accommodations and $2,000 in spending money. We have a golden retriever named Duchess and a grooming session would be good for her because she’s almost 11 months old and she’s never had one yet.

Their names are Princess and Hershey. A grooming session would be great for Hershey. He gets his hair matted and dirty during his many daily adventures.
