As “MOM”, it is our job to protect our children and keep them safe. There is of course, a long list of roles we take on and the role of “protector “is right there on top of the list. The need to know that our family and kids are okay is very important and there are times when the “not knowing” can be stressful …but it doesn’t have to be.
Logitech gives moms and dads too… the peace of mind with a DIY home monitoring system that gives exceptional results. I was given the opportunity to try out The Logitech Alert 750i Master System and it works great as a way to keep an eye on your kids while they are outside playing in the backyard, sleep in their crib or anywhere around the house.
And if you are like me and have kids who are coming of age, they may soon be hinting of the idea of being allowed to stay home alone. If that is the case, it works out great because you can monitor your home while away also. I haven’t yet taken that step to leave my boys home alone just yet, because I’m still contemplating that idea and I’m not yet convinced. Have you seen the movie Home Alone? My point exactly!
But in reality, I know that day is coming and I just have to get myself prepared; and having the Logitech Alert 750i just may be the tool to help me in making that transition.
Setting the system up was pretty easy and took little to no time at all. It was like 1.2.3…..Install the software—Plug in the adapter to the wall then your router—and Plug in the camera. Very simple, right?
The system comes with various accessories so you can pretty much get the set up you want. You have the option of setting the camera up on your wall, in a window sill or on a mantel. We tried two different locations and decided upon setting it up in the living room. We chose not to mount but instead sit it on our mantle with the provided stand.
Once set up, you can start to view immediately. You are able to view what the camera sees live or record it for later viewing. The neat part about this camera is that it has a motion sensor. That means, it only records when there is movement. Once it senses movement, it starts to record – when there is no movement the camera turns itself off.
Logitech thought of it all. You can log in from anywhere in the world, log into your computer and check out what your camera is catching. Very convenient for those times when you are away on travel or visiting family. Having the ability to log-in at any time and pull up live video of my home gives me great peace of mind. You can even download an application for your iPhone, Android or Blackberry and do your viewing right from your smart phone. You can even have an alert sent when motion is detected by the camera. I really like that feature.

· Check in when traveling
· Keep an eye on latchkey kids to make sure they’re behaving
· Watch younger kids in the backyard or in another room
· View the front door area before getting up to answer
All great reasons to have a 750i installed. We have been using theLogitech Alert 750i Master Video System for about two months now and am really impressed with how easy the system was to setup and use.
