When it comes to the use of paper plates most people are torn between the idea of using them or not. I know, because I just so happen to be one of them. I’ll admit, I love the convenience and the ease of using them, but at the same time I feel the guilt of what it is doing to our environment which is why I only use them on occasion.
When I was offered to do a review on Hefty Basics, I was ready to give it a go. The thought of using an eco-friendly paper plate made me smile. My thoughts were that I can now feel a little better about the paper plates we use from time to time. Hefty® Basics™ is a new line of Biodegradable Paper Plates that are free of inks, dyes and coating and are biodegradable in home composting.
According to Hefty, Hefty Basics are stronger than everyday plates at a value price. They also provide a great choice for people interested in an environmental option and looking to go green. Hefty® Basics™ come in two sizes, 8 5/8 inch lunch plates and 10 ½ inch dinner plates. Lunch plates are 45 to a pack, dinner are 24 to a pack and they are microwaveble too!
