Family Movie Night is here again and on Saturday, January 8th at 8/7c, Walmart and P&G will present the movie “Change of Plans” as part of their effort to bring more high-quality entertainment to families. An uplifting family drama made for the entire family, Change of Plans tells the story of how fulfilling life can be when you look beyond your own plans and invest in the lives of others.
Brooke White, a season 7 contestant on American Idol, plays a free-spirited musician whose life has pretty much played out according to her plans. She and her fighter pilot husband Jason (Joe Flanigan – Stargate Atlantis) live life on the go and are free of any responsibilities. That is until one day they receive a call from a child and family services case worker named Dorothy played by (Phylicia Rashad – The Cosby Show), and their plans will forever change. Sally finds out that her best friend from college has died in a tragic accident serving in the Peace Corps and has named Sally the legal guardian of her four kids – three of them adopted from third-world countries. Now Sally and Joe must learn to quickly adjust and learn how to parent the kids and help them to adjust to life in America. The movies soundtrack is produced by America Idol’s Randy Jackson who also has a small part in the movie.
