PowerMat Wireless Charging Systems ( Review & Giveaway)

Do you love modern technology?  Are you that Fam that has several  Ipods, bluetooths, cell phones, and hand held gaming devices at your disposal? Sounds familiar?  Sure it does, cause we’re that FAM too!    If that is the case, then I can probably guess that most of your outlets are being taken over by some type of charging device.

I have always wanted one central location where we can charge all of our devices eliminating the access cords.  That is one of the reasons I love the concep t of Powermat!

With the Powermat Home and Office Mat,  you can wirelessly charge up to three Powermat-enabled devices at the same time. It includes the Mat, a power supply, the Powercube and 8 Powercube tips which will charge nearly all mobile devices.

I would watch the TV commercials and think to myself  how nice it would be to have one of those.  So imagine my excitement when I was offered to review one.

To give you a little more insight about what exactly is a Powermat and how it works, take a look at the video below:

COMPANY’S DESCRIPTION:

With the PowerMat Charging system you get the following: ( from the website)
Wireless Charging

A simple, fast and efficient way to keep all of your favorite personal electronic devices charged. Enabling your devices with Powermat Receivers allows you to Drop and Charge them on any Powermat Mat to experience wireless charging.

Magnetic Alignment

A magnetic attraction between every Receiver and each access point on every Mat assures that alignment is precise and the most efficient charging will occur. This is one of the keys to the Powermat system’s ability to charge your devices as fast or faster than the original power adapter.

RFiD Handshake

Communication between the Mat and the Receiver allows the mat to deliver an exact amount of power for the proper length of time so that the transfer of power is safe and efficient and no energy is ever wasted.

Audio Confirmation

A unique sound tells you that a solid connection has been made and your device is charging. A second, similar sound is heard when the device is removed.

Charging Light Indication

Each access point has a corresponding light indicator that informs you that wireless charging is occurring.

Auto Shut Off

When a device reaches full charge, power is shut off to that device. This not only saves energy, but it also prevents overcharging of the device’s battery, which can shorten battery life.

Full Charge Check

Once full power is achieved and the Auto Shut Off has occurred to save energy and avoid overcharging the device’s battery, the system will monitor the status of the battery.

Wired USB Connection

A USB connection is available on every Mat for legacy devices providing another source for power rather than finding an additional power outlet.

I am really enjoying having the PowerMat for our usage and I highly recommend it.  Charging multiple devices have never been easier and it’s a much prettier site than to have all the unsightly cords hanging all over the place.  No more fighting with tangled cords for me- that’s for sure.

The Powermat Home & Office Mat can be purchased for $99.99.  The Dock for iPod & iPhone for $39.99 and the Universal Powercube Receiver $29.99.   You can also purchase the tips separately for $6.49-$8.49 apiece. You can also purchase all of your Powermat needs on Amazon!

Boy could we use the Powermat around here! My honey/hubby has his Gizmos and Gadgets recharging all over the house and he constantly forgets where or to take them with him… HELP!

My choice would be the Powermat Home and Office and since I can’t keep track of what all we have – I’d go for two Universals and one mini USB hub.
